Whitney Minarik

Whitney Minarik (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor, director, and teaching artist.  Originally from Detroit, she holds a B.F.A. from Wayne State University and an M.A. in Theatre Education from Catholic University in D.C. She has studied theatre and performed abroad in Russia and Greece. For the last 18 years, Whitney has taught all ages across Chicagoland because she loves sharing her passion for theatre and play with the young and young at heart.

Whitney is currently the Education Director at Oil Lamp Academy and has called Oil Lamp her theatrical home since 2018. At Oil Lamp, she last performed in Almost, Maine, and directed Cry It Out. Recent credits include: Claire in Rumors (Parker Players); Holmes in Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson Apt 2B (Towle Theater); Defense Attorney in The Jury Experience (Fever Productions); Lady Macduff in Macbeth and Floor Manager in Network (Invictus Theatre). Other Chicago credits include shows with: The Artistic Home, Ghostlight Ensemble, Red Tape Theatre, Moving Dock, Chicago Dramatists, Strawdog, and Emerald City Theatre.
