The Oil Lamp Academy is the performing arts-based educational wing of Glenview's award winning Oil Lamp Theater; a 60-seat storefront performing arts space that has become a beloved community centerpiece since establishing its downtown Glenview location in 2012.

 

In spring of 2025, Oil Lamp moved their classes to a dedicated 2,750 square foot offices, rehearsal, and training space located at 1009 Waukegan Road, directly across the street from the theater.​

 

And in March 2026, Oil Lamp formally launched The Oil Lamp Academy, establishing its quickly-growing arts education programming as a fully fledged theater arts school where artistry meets personal growth.

 

Offering year-round writing and storytelling workshops, improv and stand-up comedy classes, and musical theater and acting classes for all ages, The Oil Lamp Academy provides opportunities for everyone in our community to grow their creativity and confidence, and build performing arts-based skills that will resonate throughout their lives. ​​
