Kyle Twomey

Kyle Twomey (he/they) is excited to join the Oil Lamp Academy as a Teaching Artist this summer! He is a theatre artist, teacher, and private coach with fifteen years of professional experience. Kyle has taught theatre to students in Pre-K through Twelfth Grade with arts organizations and public schools in St. Louis, Springfield (MO), and in Chicagoland. Currently, Kyle is an elementary school drama teacher with Chicago Public Schools.

Kyle has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Webster University and an MA in Teaching from Missouri State University. Kyle completed the improv training program at the Upright Citizens Brigade (NY). Kyle has performed in productions with Oil Lamp Theater (First Date), Citadel Theatre, Timber Lake Playhouse, Variety Theatre, Stages St. Louis, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Insight Theatre, Arrow Rock Lyceum, and the Festival de Teatro de La Habana in Cuba. Kyle is passionate about helping students find their artistic voice and he is thrilled to join the Oil Lamp Academy team!
